SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer and is required on ALL websites.  Every web site will show https:// before the web address (https://techfourlife.com) instead of the old www. or http://.

This security encrypts the information between you and the web site.  Google and Bing require it and downgrade websites that don’t have it.  Your browser will also show a yellow ! in the address if a site is not secure.

If you own a web site and it does not have this, you will receive complaints from Google and your users.

Each of you should check the sites you are visiting and your own site (if you own one) to see what is displaying.  If you see one that is not secure, don’t use it for any transactions.  If you are, or know the owner, tell them to contact their hosting company and get it corrected.
