A Network Attached Storage or NAS is a unit that can store data on a network. This allows for sharing of documents and and other files between computers and sometimes mobile devices.
This list will probably change based on usage, but as a basic starting platform, can be modified to suit the use case.

these are the mounting brackets needed due to the fact that we are installing a 2.5″ drive in a 3.5″ port

Fast SSD Storage
SSDs have come way down in price recently, allowing for these NAS units to have extremely fast storage at reasonable prices
The 2TB model currently has the highest storage space per dollar
We also recommend starting the NAS with three drives due to the way data is stored on the NAS
